Police are searching for two people involved in a home invasion in Northeast Omaha, Wednesday. A vehicle taken during that robbery turned up early Thursday morning, crashed near Northwest Radial Highway and Blondo Street.

A spokesman for Omaha police tells Channel 6 News the home invasion happened around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday near 32nd and Ohio Streets. Officer Jacob Bettin says two suspects entered the residence with guns. They took property from the victim, including a 2007 Ford F-150.

Douglas County Sheriff's deupties later reported seeing the truck, during a convenience store shoplifting near 189th and Q Streets. At 12:42 a.m., the truck was spotted near 42nd and Parker Streets.

Police eventually located the stolen vehicle, which crashed into a rock wall at Northwest Radial Highway and Blondo Street. Witnesses say they saw two people running in opposite directions.

Officers canvassed the neighborhood, but the suspects have not been found.

Mary, you're not so bright. The car was stolen from West O, then after stealing the car and other itmems from this guy at knife point, then stealing from a Kum and Go- they drove East and North to North O when they were spotted. they stole items from a house and I imagine it was to buy drugs or an illegal gun since all they had was a knife. face facts or are they inconvenient?

Ray, Larry got "the idea they were headed to North O." because they were ALREADY IN NORTH O. Pull up your mapquest.

oh and by the way Ray, not everyone that lives in North O is black!! sincerely, lil ole white girl.

Hey Proud to be mexican- You counldnt pay me enought to live in in South O or North O.......worked way too hard to get here and despite a few issues its better than bullets daily in some areas. The people here are great and its wonderful for families.....got a feeling that if many could afford it they would be out here in the Wild west too!!

Mexican - we here in the 'wild West' know that we are not immune to criminal activity occurring in our area (well, most of us know, anyway), and it's because the police are just spread too thin. The difference here is that we are more likely to tell the police if we witness something. Hopefully, this guy will get caught and receive something beyond a slap on the hand.

Why can't police give details of the description of the truck, and perps and time, location, and direction of travel when spotted? Sounds like they were headed for NO? Maybe someone that saw something would call to report...!

This is why I will be buying a gun, all these punk gang bangers think they can come out west. Come out here and see what happens, we'll send you back in a box. Futhermore you can sure as heck bet you won't here us saying, "I didn't see anything!"

Man it's getting dangerous over there. I think I will stay in my nice and quiet neighborhood here in good ol' South Omaha. You won't see me going out to the wild West.

I am sure the people who committed this crime have a criminal record & I bet they left fingerprints....
