A 33-year-old Lincoln man arrested in the attic of a woman's house in violation of a protection order has been sentenced to 480 days in jail. Authorities say Haslett twice violated the protection order in June and was arrested both times.

Wesley Haslett Jr. was given credit Tuesday for 103 days he had already served.

Police say on June 16, Haslett went to the woman's home. When officers arrived and knocked on the door, police say Haslett ripped through a drywall ceiling in a bedroom and used a child's bicycle to boost himself into the attic.

An officer and police dog followed the 6-foot-7 Haslett into the attic. He surrendered after the officer threatened to turn the dog loose on him.

Many forces have vicious dogs on them. I just wish they were able to be used more. that would have been a great bite for the dog. Not a lot of place to run in an attic.

Were they talking about letting an actual dog loose on him or the Dawg the Bounty Hunter?
