The 15-year-old accused in the murder of a convenience store worker was denied bond during his first court appearance Wednesday morning. Juan Castaneda will be tried as an adult on the charge of first-degree murder. A second suspect is being sought.
In asking for bond to be denied, Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine revealed that the store security camera tape shows two males pulling Tari Glinsmann out of her car, then shooting her in the head.
She was found dead last Wednesday night after she closed up the store at 52nd and Leavenworth.
Crime lab technicians were able to lift a clean palm print from where one of the two touched the vehicle. The print matched one already on record from Castaneda, who was arrested earlier this year for having a stolen firearm. He’s admitted to being a gang member.
Kleine tells Channel 6 News he cannot get into too detailed of an account of what happened, but confirmed that the surveillance tape shows it was the other person who shot and killed Glinsmann.
So far, only Castaneda has been arrested. "There are more individuals involved, yes, and that's being looked at and I don't want to speak about that at this time, but certainly the police are still investigating," said Kleine. "This is an ongoing investigation."

Police say Glinsmann’s murder is connected to two other shootings that same night, including one that killed 22-year-old Luis Fernando-Silva outside his home at 15th and Dorcas. While the cases are related, right now Castaneda is only being charged with Glinsmann's murder.
"We've charged this case the police are investigating and that's all I can say at this time," said Kleine.
Glinsmann's father says it's just another chapter in a very difficult week. "And now to find out it's a 15-year-old boy,” said Eugene Glinsmann. “I have a 16-year-old granddaughter and I just, now I have a lot of questions on the same thing. Why that age?"
Castaneda showed up in court wearing the youth facility's blue jumpsuit and stood next to his public defender in front of the bench. When Judge Marcena Hendrix asked for Juan's parents to come forward, no one did. They weren't in the courtroom.
When Channel 6 News reporter Gary Smollen stopped by the Castaneda home, a woman believed to be Juan's mother said she couldn't talk about the crime and asked him to leave.
Castaneda's preliminary hearing has been set for 9 a.m. on January 14th. He is being held at the Douglas County Youth Detention Facility.
