Tornado-Prone State Rankings
The company VorTek, LLC, which produces tornado threat software, has released its annual list of the most tornado prone states. Nebraska and Iowa rank fifth and sixth respectively.

VorTek ranks states based on the latest National Weather Service data for tornadic activity, including statistics from 1950 through 2007.

The top twenty states, compiled by the company, are as follows:
