The host of CNBC's "Mad Money" will bring his "Mad Money Back to School Tour" to the University of Iowa.

Jim Cramer will tape the program at the Iowa Memorial Union on Wednesday for broadcast on CNBC at 6 p.m. central time.

Cramer also will talk to students about the economic realities of a global economy and tell them there is no easy fix to the current economic crisis.

Cramer's visit comes after University of Iowa senior Alex Cullen, a finance major, sent him a video asking him to come to Iowa City.

Cullen says many of his fellow students see the economic turmoil as an opportunity to learn firsthand about the economy and how volatile it can be.

On the plus side, we won't have to go to Iowa City...we should be able to hear him in Omaha from there.
