18-year-old Anthony Houchin of Weeping Water will serve one year,the maximum jail sentence for 3rd Degree Assault, a Class I Misdemeanor.
Houchin was one of two individuals to swing bats at then-48-year-old Tony Premo on September 9th, 2007 as Premo emerged out his front door. There had been a previous altercation between teens and young adults in the backyard of the Premo residence in Plattsmouth.
The Cassgram reports that the sentence for Houchin, who pleaded no contest in a plea agreement, comes after 19-year-old Travis Meisinger of Weeping Water also received a year for 3rd Degree Assault.
Meisinger’s conviction came as the result of a jury trial in which felony counts were dismissed. However, Meisinger’s sentence was ordered served in the state department of corrections system.
