Fire damages Beaver Lake home but nobody is hurt.
Murray Fire and Rescue was assisted by Plattsmouth crews at 8869 Greenwood Road. The call came in just before 2am.
Murray 1st Assistant Fire Chief Chris Spangler says a woman in the house escaped with no injuries along with her pets.
Fire engulfed the upper level of the two-story structure as crews arrived. There was also fire coming from the ground in the back of the structure, the result of fire in the propane line.
Spangler says good manpower response from Murray and a quick response from Plattsmouth units allowed firefighters to quickly knock down the blaze.
Fire damage was mainly limited to two rooms on the upper level. The initial damage estimate was placed at $50,000 to $60,000 and Spangler says enough of the structure was saved that it can likely be rebuilt.
The State Fire Marshal is investigating.
