This week, the Omaha Fire Department will remember those who have died recently.
On Thursday, October 9th, OFD will honor 15 families.
Since the last ceremony in October of 2006, 15 firefighters have died.
Some were retired, others were active duty.
Each firefighter family will be given a rose in remembrance of their public service.
The memorial begins at 10am at the Firefighter's Union Hall, 60th & Grover.
