Leslie Babendir turned on the news Monday night only to see a familiar face she would soon rather forget.

She says Traves Rush mugged her when she was walking to Westroads Mall in 2001. "I saw somebody being dropped off by a car...and then his demeanor changed, he's right in my face saying "I'm going to rob you."

Traves Rush had committed crimes before he ran into Leslie Babendir; and he committed crimes after he took from her, what he wanted.

"I worked for the money that weekend so i guess he wanted it faster than he could work for it" She says.

Traves Rush and two other men, Curtis Cotton and Marcus Short are now suspects in the Lincoln robbery of Tier One bank on Monday.

Before that Rush was involved in a burglary in West Omaha and terrified a little girl who hid in the closet of her home and called 911.

Leslie believes that rush had done enough and the revolving door of justice should be stopped.

"He's doing wrong i thought it was three strikes and you're out. I don't know but i think he's had enough chances where he should be put away." She says.

So far no charges have been filed against the trio of Curtis Cotton, Traves Rush and Marcus Short.

They are still being held in Lincoln and the FBI is checking into the possibility of their involvement in other Omaha bank robberies.

Whoever north o is you do not know what you are talking about. I know Traves better than anyone does. He may have done some burglaries, but this is his first robbery! get it right before you speak on anything.

Well at least bank robbery is a FEDERAL crime, they won't be walking away from any work release programs or light-security prisons, that's for sure. But seriously, they robbed the Lincoln bank with a CLUB? I'm sorry, but I think if one of these witless wonders pulled a club on me at my teller window, it would be all I could do to keep from busting a gut laughing.

You know, for the about 4 bucks, the cost of 3 .38 bullets,we could save tha taxpayers thousands of dollars in an unecessary defense of these slime buckets.

Just proves these "wanna be thugs" are worthless, nor reformable, and deserve to be locked up for life..no more chances..no more symapthy..only a 6X9 cell with a roomie that will show him the finer things of prison life.

Real nice Niecy. Encourage better planning when he is going to commit felonies. People wonder why stereotypes are perpetuated. Hmmm. Maybe he (and the rest of you wannabe thugs) should spend more time planning a productive, crime free future. That would be a nice change wouldn't it Niecy?

Why do they get any strikes. If youre found guilty of a crime then you should be sentenced the maximum especially if is a weapons crime or violent crime. They are a threat to the hard working people in society and should pay their dues.

The majority of people in life really don't know & understand. They really don't realize just exactly how utterly dumb & stupid, how simple & ignorant most people are & can be. Yes, literally millions & millions of people don't have a clue as to just how totally rebellious & contrary most of the people in `life can & WILL BE. According to this Christian(me), the Holy Spirit of God has not been just trying but STRIVING with most everyone ever since day one to get people to hear, listen & obey his still small voice. It's the nature of mankind(that includes females) to sin, mess up, act up, misbehave or just simply put-> DO the exact opposite of what his `will, his Law says. We really are insufficiently taught in life because it's hard to teach & insufficiently disciplined when askew & awry we go. It's not his, God's, fault. Result if people don't change enough for the better: Total ignorance & a commitment to rebellion against WHATEVER is right. Judges, tell inmates to repent. Otherwise

i know the two that were supposed to be incarcerated at the time they both commited crimes with each other when they were on the streets i wonder how they both were held at the same facility this is traves third robbery he was caught commiting he should not be released he is a habitual criminal

Sounds like a career criminal to me. Lock him up and throw away the key. His will be a name we keep hearing throughout the future if he keeps getting released. Its time we punish criminals instead of trying to "educate" them. It obviously doesnt work to reprimand them. What a waste of oxygen.

Just pure stupidity. I know Curtis, that was the dumbest thing i've heard. if you bout to walk in less then a year why would you go and mess that up. i just dont understand how dumb you can be. and then at that you get caught come on now lets be serious, yall should of done a little bit better planning!!!

Convicted in a 2006 buglary and out already? How much little time did he do. I am thinking judges are letting people out only so can get back out and get arrested again. Starting to think the courts are based on commission.

I guess they must just like the prison life. Maybe the judge will give them the max since they are repeat offenders.
