Officers at the Millard American Legion Post tell police someone stole $13,000 from the post.

An audit of the post's books has turned up the missing money.

According to police reports the audit was ordered after one of the post's officers was dismissed this past summer, that audit allegedly turned up two ficticious employees, and improper insurance premium payments.

This is what happens when you let one person be in charge of something. There always needs to be someone checking someone not only to prevent theft but also mistakes. People are too trusting and it's sad that they can't be. I sure hope this person pays for what they did.

I think this has happened here B4. Background checks should be thourgh and more than one signature should be required on all checks written.

It's about time they caught him. The Legion officers were told two years ago what he was up to. Many good employees were let go by the person in question. I can't wait until his name is made public and he gets what he deserves.
