Yet another White House hopeful plans on visiting Nebraska. On the heels of Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin's visit to Omaha on Sunday, presidential candidate Ralph Nader will come to the city.
A campaign spokesman says Nader will speak Friday evening at the Scott Conference Center in Omaha. Nader is on the ballot in 45 states and the District of Columbia. The consumer advocate is running as an independent.
He has run for president several times, including in 2004. It was his campaign in 2000, however, that many blame for helping Al Gore to lose the Presidential Election.
Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama spoke in Omaha in February. In July, Republican presidential nominee John McCain came to Ashland for a fundraiser.
