Saturday AAA Nebraska will hold a free car care event at their headquarters. A series of checks will help the community get their cars ready for winter.

Everything from batteries, to tires, to fluids will be gone over with car owners. AAA says Nebraskans need to be sure their cars are
prepared for when the temperatures drop and the snow starts flying.

Folks will also have a chance to get their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) etched into all windows of their car, free of charge. This is to help keep car thieves from stealing vehicles.

The event is free to everyone, from 10am - 1pm, Saturday, October 4th. It will take place at AAA Headquarters at 96th & Nicholas.
