An Omaha man died after his motorcycle collided with a car Saturday night.
The motorcycle was traveling northbound on 16th Street near Spencer around 8:15 p.m. when a car in front of him made a U-turn. The motorcycle hit the driver’s side of the car and caught fire.
The motorcyclist, identified as 36-year-old Robert Jones, was taken to Creighton University Medical Center where he died. Investigators believe Jones was speeding.
Two people were in the car. One said he would seek medical attention on his own for a minor injury. The other person was not hurt.
