An overpass demolition project will force drivers to detour near downtown Omaha on Sunday.

Starting at 6 a.m., northbound Interstate 480 and Highway 75 will be closed at the interchange with the North Freeway. All traffic will exit at Harney Street.

The work should be wrapped up by 8 p.m. Sunday.

JD, What the heck are you worried about? the NE Department of Roads is doing this for the safety and security of the overall general public and visitors commuting and this is the only way they can get this done. What the heck are you worried about? As long as you are able to get from Point A to Point B and that is what should matter and you are worried about your tax dollars? Look and face it...Roads are made and destroyed daily. Your almightly tax dollar may be used but it is for your safety. DO ALL OF US A FAVOR.....GROW UP AND STOP YOUR GRIPING!!!!! HURRAY FOR THE NE DEPT OF ROADS. YOU ROCK!!!!
