The second teen charged in the shooting death of an Omaha girl last fall pleaded guilty Thursday to second-degree murder.

Michael Coleman will be sentenced in November. Jordan Goodwin, convicted of second-degree murder in the same case earlier this month is due to be sentenced in October.

Both were arrested last October following the death of 6-year-old Alazia Alford. She was in a car with two women in a driveway at 14th and Spencer when she was shot and killed. Breanna Russ and Maya Mack were both wounded.

God will punish them?? Right after they have spent years shooting and killing other people. Of course you are assuming that they actually believe in God or a God. I highly doubt they do and therefore have no fear. I personally think that 23hours a day in solitary with one hour of excerise would do far more good then putting in the general population where they can chat with their friends who are there too.

Hope the judge sentences him long and hard He should be an old man by the time he gets out of jail.

How about mandatory sterilization? DO NOT let them reproduce (unless they already have)and if so, revoke their rights as a father. We sure don't need them raising more little thugs.

lin - I'm not sure everyone wants to watch someone "fry" in an electric chair. Alazia's family might not be sick, twisted people who think that watching someone "fry" will help them feel better about losing a precious part of their lives. That's just a hunch.

At least he is man enough to plead guilty and accept what he did. And to anonymous- parents do what they can but children grow up and do what they want. A parent needs to do as much as they can but that is all they can do.

being that he is the older person giving this kid guns and drugs to sell he should be given a worse sentence than the 15 year old

Why should they sit in jail and get 3 warm meals, roof over their head, clothes on their back, gyms to work out in, and a college education? That poor little girl doesnt get to have any of that!

I for one is in favor of the Death Penalty, but this case I'd much rather see them both sit in Prison for the rest of their lives without the possiblity of parole, having to remember what they have done to their families and the victims families.

I personally feel like killing these two misguided young men is not going to bring this little girl back. People are always so quick to resort to violence with violence. The Lord God will punish these two in a worse way then man could ever punish them. Death is the easy way out. They need to be held accountable and reminded everyday of the innocent life in which they destroyed. They need to feel the pain of the family that they destroyed and they need to live to see it happen to them. I know that young man would be crushed to be in jail when his grandmother passes and if we leave him there to sit out the crime that he committed he too will one day feel the pain of losing a loved one so close. The best revenge sometimes is no revenge at all. We have to remember that the Bible teaches us that the Lord says "vengence is mine".

Well I think these men should sit in jail the for the rest of there lives. They need to suffer in there using the chair is not the answer to the problem. These young kids are out here looking for attention from ther wrong people because ther not getting it at home so they are joing gangs.Lets face it people the parents raising these children is where the problem starts.

Give em the chair...that's the least we can do for these losers. Then let that little babies parents watch em fry. Show everyone that if you kill a child with this violence crap...that if you kill a baby who maybe could have made a diffence in this world...a good difference...{ but now we'll never know, will we? } You have to die too. An eye for an eye.

Fire up the old chair for these 2. They deserve no better.
