An accused drunk driver hit five cars and left the scene of the crash before later surrendering to police.

Twenty-four-year-old Aaron Flowers was arrested Thursday morning.

Investigators say he hit five cars parked on the same block in Lincoln. The fifth crash disabled Flowers' vehicle.

He was spotted by a witness running from the scene. An hour later, Flowers approached a man at a fast food restaurant and asked him to call police.

Damage to the five vehicles is estimated at more than $11,000.

Flowers was also booked for having a suspended license; having no insurance; not using a seat belt; careless driving and leaving the scene of an accident.

Todd the reason they are charging him with all those crimes is that they have something to fall back on in case the others don't stick. If they don't get him for DUI then they can most likely get the others to stick, but if they only charge him with DUI and don't get it then he is free from everything.

Wel,, at least we can give him credit for coming back and turning himself in... although that still doesn't excuse driving drunk.

Not wearing a seat belt? With the trouble this guy is in, I think they should give him a break on that violation.

Bad decision yes. Stupid action yes, but---Execute him--??You are deranged. Ye who have no sins, cast the first stone"... Does this statement fit you and all of yours?

I think they should throw the book at him for all the crap he caused everybody. However, I do give him a small "good job" for at least doing the right thing after such a wrong doing for turning himself in. He at least showed an effort to try and make amends for what he did. But that in no way means it was okay to do what he did.

No one was injured, so he really hasn't committed any crime. This is negligence. But the hysteria on this is so extreme that he'll probably recieve a harsher sentence than someone who beats a 90 year old lady with a baseball bat.

Convict him, and have him promptly executed. There is no excuse for driving drunk. It's worse when you don't have insurance, or a valid license. Lets see if a Lancaster County judge can have more manhood sentencing this pos, than the pathetic excuse for judges we have here in Douglas and Sarpy county.
