An Omaha woman was taken into custody Saturday morning after driving her vehicle into a crowd, injuring two people.

Police say 26-year-old Rannettia Wilson had gotten into a fight with a large group of people in a parking lot at 24th and Lake streets around 1 a.m. She drove her SUV into the crowd, then left the area at a high rate of speed. She was stopped a short distance away.

Twenty-seven-year-old Ann Perry of Omaha was taken to the Nebraska Medical Center in critical condition and 24-year-old Shanna Ferguson of Omaha sustained minor injuries jumping out of the way of the SUV.

Wilson was booked on several counts, including first and second-degree assault, use of a weapon to commit a felony, driving under suspension and flight to avoid arrest.
