To Curious in North Omaha,If you keep up with the other shootings where the suspects left town you will see this is not suspicious. There have been a couple recent incidents where the suspects left town. They were caught and brought back to be tried in court. This is a good example of good police work. The young man will have his time in court.

Curious- The difference had nothing to do with race, the difference had to do with a victim who told the police what happened instead of handling it herself etc. I'm sure he didn't intend to leave her alive to rat him out. Anonymous at 7:23 your comment makes absolutely no sense. There is nothing suspicious about her story, and it is coroberated by the witnesses in the neighborhood and some of the people involved they have already taken into custody. She knew the shooter previously and was telling us that night he was the one that shot her. Him going to Atlanta has nothing to do with whether or not she Id'd him. I agree with the kudos to Atlanta PD for picking this guy up, but without the work of OPD's detectives in doing the investigation and getting the warrant out for him, they would have never known he was wanted. Good job to all involved!

Yeah, curious, she named her attacker, so they were able to put a big felony warrant out for him.

Come on "Curious" When our community finally pulls it's head out and cooperates with the Police I think we will start seeing some crimes solved. We can't keep pointing the finger at the police. They aren't the shooters. It's these lowelife wanna be gangsters that are the problem.

Why does this have to come down to race? Curious-She identified him and knew his family well; they got a tip and it worked out. I doubt he thought they'd find him down there and didn't do much to hide out down there. Cant you be thankful that they found a person who attempted to take anothers life.

Hey Curious, She lived to identify this looser. Not exactly an unsolved crime.

Why is it that Mr. Abrams who is a young african american male was found so quickly after committing a crime against a white young lady? We still have dozens of unsolved crimes that were comitted by african americans against other african americans. Does anybody elese fing this suspicious?

Hey, now! I'm sure he was getting his life turned around, and was beneath it all a good kid. He was probably down in Atlanta to attend engineering college at Georgia Tech.
