Most of the electrical service knocked out by last Friday's storm has been restored. Approximately 100 customers were without service on Thursday evening

The Omaha Public Power District says most of those customers still without electricity should regain power by the end of Friday but a few customers in western Douglas County might still have to wait until Saturday to regain power.

Several miles of transmission and power lines must be repaired to restore electricity to those customers in isolated areas.

The storm initially left about 126,000 OPPD customers in and around Omaha without power.

OPPD is asking any customers still without electric service to call 1-800-554-OPPD (6773) or report online so they can verify every outage that needs to be addressed.

A great big thank you to all of the OPPD employees that have put in VERY LONG HOURS getting everyone's power restored as quickly as possible!
