Some sunshine and calmer weather has returned at least temporarily across the Heartland; however, a cold front situated to our north and west will continue to give us a chance for more showers and scattered storms later Tuesday afternoon.
Some computer models are hinting at showers and storms developing near the metro after 4 p.m. There's a 30% chance for this activity. Be prepared for rain if you are planning on attending the CWS game at 7 p.m. just in case it does.
The Storm Prediction Center has placed the Omaha metro area in a slight risk zone for severe weather, with the greatest concerns being wind and hail. Locally heavy rain is also possible.
