Authorities are investigating the deaths of a woman and her ex-husband in an apparent murder-suicide in Hastings, Nebraska Saturday morning.
It appears the 39-year-old woman fled to a neighbor's house before she was fatally shot multiple times by her ex-husband.
The Hastings Police Department says officers responding to a report of gunshots found her body about 3 a.m.
Her ex-husband is suspected in her death. An Adams County Sheriff's Department deputy found his body in his vehicle south of Hastings about 7:30 a.m. Police say the 34-year-old man died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The couple's identity has not yet been released.
