Help is needed in finding a driver wanted in connection with a hit-and-run accident that seriously injured an Omaha man last Saturday morning.

Council Bluffs Police say 29-year-old Justin Beaty was walking along the 700 block of 21st Street when a car struck him around 2 a.m.

Police are calling the man pictured "a person of interest." They believe he was driving a green, mid-90s Cadillac Deville with large rims and either Iowa or Nebraska license plates.

He's between 25 and 35 years old and was caught on surveillance tape.

Anyone who can identify the car or the man in the photo is asked to call Council Bluffs Police at 712-328-4948.

Shocking, a teen who tries to act like a rough and tough man, when in reality he's a scared little boy.

That kid is probably a perfect example of someone who pretends to be so tough, but is probably in their basement scared, and hiding like a coward. If you read this kid, stop pretending to be a man, you are a coward!

People don't care about human lives anymore. My son and I were hit on the side of my car while I was driving. The man swiped my door pretty hard and just kept driving. We were tramautized thank GOD nothing happened to us. Be careful everyone there is ALOT of wreckless drivers out there that don't care.

Make it a felony to leave the scene of an injury accident and take the license for a couple of years.

We over here in OPD have a P.I technical investigations unit within the traffic unit that can pretty much determine the cause of the crash without any witness information given to them. I hope CB can solve this case and people will come forward. I am a cop and I know things. I will also tell you about those things. Thank you.
