A jury has convicted a heartland man on one of three counts related to his alleged attack on a heartland officer.

Carlos Rosado was found guilty of obstructing a police officer but he was acquitted of a resisting arrest charge and the jury couldn't come to any decision on the charge of assault.

The case relates to a fight at the Southgate Apartments in Bellevue last year.

Relatives of Rosado claimed the officer overstepped his bounds and never identified himself to the family.

The officer was working in an off-duty capacity as a security guard for the apartment complex. He was in an unmarked car and not wearing the departmental prescribed uniform for patrol work and did not display his credentials as required by law. This information was disclosed during the trial.

I have an idea for the officers. NEVER EVER respond to any call concerning that family in the future. Is the family such MORONS they did not know he was a cop?

The police officer was there to keep the people who live there safe & I think the least the jury could do would be to protect the police officer.

Perhaps he should claim that he has a mental conditian so that he will not be charged.
