An 18-year-old Lincoln man has been given three to five years in prison for a home invasion and shooting last year.
Gilberto Varela pleaded no contest in July to aiding and abetting a felony and making felony terroristic threats. He was sentenced on Wednesday.
Prosecutors say Varela and two other men forced their way into the Lincoln house on December 30, shoved one resident to the floor and stole his wallet. One of the robbers, Cecil Guerra III, shot another resident as the man fled.
Guerra is scheduled to be sentenced later this month. The third robber, 19-year-old Antonio Vega, has been given five to eight years in prison.
