A 27-tear-old Lincoln man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a kindergarten student.
Joseph Siems Jr. was taken into custody shortly after the incident was reported on Thursday.
Investigators say that Siems, a resident of the Bel Air group home in Lincoln, was hiding in a boys restroom at Arnold Elementary School
Police say that a five-year-old kindergarten student entered the restroom and was sexually assaulted.
Authorities say that the child returned to class but did not immediately report the incident to the teacher.
Officials say that Siems left the building in the interim but staff members saw him and followed him.
Police showed up, Siems was arrested and he is charged with First-Degree Sexual Assault of a Child.
