A snow advisory is in effect until 1 p.m. Monday for parts of northeast Nebraska and western Iowa. Some areas could receive 1-3 inches accumulation.

This includes the Nebraska counties of Antelope, Boone, Burt, Cedar, Colfax, Cuming, Dodge Knox, Madison, Pierce, Platte, Stanton, Thurston, Wayne and Monona County in Iowa, and the cities of Columbus, Fremont, Norfolk, Pierce, Schuyler, Stanton, Tekamah, Wayne and West Point.

Be prepared for snow covered roads and limited visibilities and use caution while driving.

Rain is expected for southeast Nebraska and southwest Iowa, including Omaha, Council Bluffs and Lincoln.
