During the month of February, 16 people were killed in 13 different traffic crashes on Nebraska roads.
According to the Department of Roads, nine of the 16 people killed were not wearing a seat belt. Three crashes happened on the Interstate, four on non-Interstate highways, and nine took place on local roads.
To date, there have been 30 fatalities from crashes in Nebraska. In 2013, 41 people were killed in crashes.
