Two young drivers collided head-on in southeastern Nebraska Wednesday evening. Crash investigators say one of them was traveling too fast on a curve and ended up in the oncoming lane.
The crash was reported at 5:13 p.m. at 202nd & Davey Road near the town of Salt Creek.
Cass County Sheriff William Brueggemann says a 16-year-old girl of rural Greenwood was southbound and lost control on a curve where the road turned into Davey Road. Her 2000 Honda Accord slid into the path of a 1995 Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck driven by a 15-year-old girl from rural Greenwood.
A 14-year-old passenger in the Honda was unrestrained and struck the windshield upon impact. The boy and the driver were the most seriously hurt, however neither suffered life threatening injuries. The Other driver and passenger were treated for possible minor injuries.
The sheriff says possible charges are pending.
