Girlfriend Throws Cat in Anger

A Heartland girl is in trouble with the law after losing her temper and throwing a cat and several other items. Police say she was drunk at the time.

Officers were called to the Cimarron Apartments in the area of 96th and Q Streets for a disturbance.

When the officers arrived they found the 18-year-old girl’s 19-year-old boyfriend holding her down. The boyfriend’s roommate approached officers to explain.

According to the roommate the men arrived at the apartment to find the girl had thrown a party without their knowledge. The girl became enraged when she was told the party had to end and everyone had to go home.

At that point, according to the police report, the girl began picking up items inside the apartment, including the cat, and throwing them.

Officers spoke to the 18-year-old girl who told them she just wanted to walk to her grandmother’s house just a short distance away. While officers were escorting her off the property she allegedly stopped and threw a full 24 ounce Mountain Dew at the building. The bottle broke siding valued at $100.

The officers immediately placed her under arrest and administered a blood alcohol content test. The report indicates the test showed the girl at an intoxication level of .235.

The girl was cited for her alleged crimes and released to her mother.
