    Several volunteer fire departments battled a blaze in western Douglas County late Saturday night into Sunday morning. No one was hurt, though a home near Valley was destroyed.

    The fire broke out around 11:30 p.m. Saturday night at 250th Court and Tucker Street. Crews from Valley, Waterloo, Bennington and others were at the scene.

    Everyone was able to get out of the residence safely. Officials have not yet said what started the fire.
