Judge Mark Ashford sentenced an Omaha man to life in prison Monday for his role in the murder and robbery of a pizza deliveryman.
In January, Dontavis McClain was found guilty of first-degree murder in the death of 33-year-old Christopher Taylor. According to court testimony, McClain and Bryton Gibbs lured Taylor to a vacant unit at the Irvington Heights Apartments, in September 2010, then robbed and killed him.
Gibbs has already pleaded guilty to murdering Taylor and was sentenced to 100 years in prison.
Two others, Larry Fountain and Marcus Robinson, also face charges stemming from Taylor's murder, including robbery and conspiracy. Neither of their cases have been to trial.
