Shooting Victim Identified

Omaha Police are investigating the second apparent homicide of the week and the victims were found within a few blocks of each other.
The victim was identified Friday evening as 25-year old Victor A. Ford Jr.
Early Friday police were called to the area of 62nd and Taylor where they found the body of a man who had been shot to death. Ford's body was located in the yard of a home at that location.
This is only a few blocks from where another man's body was found near 65th and Fowler on Thursday.
Police aren't speculating on whether there is a link between the slayings.
The man who was killed Thursday has been identified as 26-year-old Kevin R. Pierce.
