Husker Recruit Has Second Thoughts

The fourth-best high school quarterback in the nation has had second thoughts about joining the Cornhuskers. According to rivals.com Blaine Gabbert has broken his oral committment to Nebraska

"With the turmoil and uncertainty of the coaching staff, I felt like I had to revaluate my options," Gabbert said. "I reopen my recruitment as of tonight. I’m open to all schools."

While athletics director Steve Pederson was fired last week, interim athletics director Tom Osborne has said he will wait until the season ends to decide whether to retain coach Bill Callahan.
