UPDATE: One Person Dies in Overnight Crash

Police have released the name of the man killed in an overnight crash on L Street.

According to Omaha Police, 25-year-old Alberto Ramirez-Bustos was killed when his Chevy Malibu hit a power pole.

A portion of L Street was closed overnight because of the crash.

It happened just after one this morning at 54th and L.

The driver of the vehicle was pinned inside after hitting the power pole.

The crash caused an underground gas leak which MUD had to be called in to fix.

Rescue teams were unable to cut Ramirez-Bustos from the vehicle until the leak was shut off.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Police say speed and alcohol appear to be factors.
