There will soon be more space available for Wi-Fi signals. It comes as the result of a decision by the Federal Communications Commission to open up unused airwaves between television station channels for wireless broadband networks.
The new offerings will be called "Super Wi-Fi" because those signals will be more powerful and travel further than today's Wi-Fi locations. Super Wi-Fi has been on the boards for about two years but cleared its last hurdles yesterday.
We can expect to see Super Wi-Fi devices rolling out in the next year.
