A vigil was held Monday night for a 7-year old boy who was killed in a house fire early Monday morning. When firefighters arrived at the scene the home was totally engulfed in flames.

Alex Buzzetta's body was found in an upstairs bedroom at the back of the house. Firefighters were not able to enter the burning house right away because of the intesity of the flames.

One adult was also injured in the fire. Neighbors say a woman injured her leg while jumping from the roof of the front porch after escaping out of an upstairs window. That person's condition had not been released by mid-morning Monday.

At 2:22 fire crews were dispatched to the 700 block of Hillcrest Avenue. Flames were everywhere around the house which was built in the 1920's.

Two couples, each with one young child, lived in the house. According to neighbors, they had only been living there for a few weeks.

Alex was a second grader at Lewis and Clark Elementary in Council Bluffs.

It's not known yet how the fire started, although investigators say they do not suspect arson. The home is a total loss.
