Louisville school bond passes 565 for; 431 against. Voter turnout was 48 percent. (Results are considered unofficial until the canvassing board concludes its work today.)
The Cassgram reports the $6.3 million bond will pay for a portion of the school built in the mid 1950s to be remodeled. An addition that will house fine arts learning, instrumental and vocal music, a multi-purpose room and community fitness center will be built. 100 parking stalls will be added along with a new access road to the south. The football stadium will be renovated and an 8-lane track added.
The tax rate not expected to change with the new bond.
