An Omaha man and teen were arrested Wednesday in connection with an early morning carjacking in Leavenworth Park.
The suspects managed to make it to Auburn, Nebraska before being caught.
A couple told police they were approached just before 2 a.m. by three men demanding their personal items. The couple handed over their wallets, cell phones and keys.
Two of the suspects took off in the couple's Mazda Protege. By tracking the cell phone of one of the victims, officers were able to locate two of the suspects in Auburn. Twenty-four-year old Franklin Hallowell and 18-year-old Leroy Wood face charges in both Otoe and Nemaha counties.
The third suspect took off in the truck the three arrived in, which police say was stolen. Officers were able to catch up with the truck, but the driver took off on foot.
