The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says more than 250 special grouse permits remain for the upcoming season.
The permits are free. They're required for anyone who hunts grouse east of U.S. Highway 81.
The special permits are available on a first-come, first-served basis from the commission.
The grouse season runs Sept. 18 to Jan. 31, 2011.
