Officials say squirrels are the likely culprit in knocking out phones and the Internet at Iowa City's West High School, but it won't delay the start of school.
Principal Jerry Arganbright says the rodents chewed through a fiber optic line on campus sometime Tuesday morning. Crews made temporary repairs and restored both phone and Internet service.
A permanent fix will be done over the weekend.
Arganbright says classes were to start as scheduled on Thursday.
