A call from a timeshare broker was timely for Omahan Tish Walker. She and her husband needed to sell theirs. Tish said, "We were hoping to get our money out of it and more."
Tish paid MGM Universal Timeshare about $1,700 with the promise they could sell the timeshare within 90 days. Tish said its been a year. "They keep saying the buyer hasn't come in and they got a really busy schedule. or you can't get ahold of your agent."
Before contracting with MGM Universal Timeshare of California, Tish asked a Representative about the company's Better Business Bureau Rating. Tish said, "My original person told me they had an A rating."
Omaha Better Business President Jim Hegarty told Six On Your Side MGM Universal Timeshare actually has an F rating. Hegarty said, "There's a multitude of serious issues with what this company is engaging in, all designed to take advantage of folks like the consumer in Omaha."
The BBB web report states the MGM Universal Timeshare is using the A rating of another company with a similar name.
Contacted by Six On Your Side a customer service supervisor said he couldn't comment on customer issues and took a number but there's been no response from the company.
