Driver Flees Crash Scene

A driver flees the scene of a crash after driving onto someone's front lawn.

Just after one this morning police were called to a home at 80th and Evans Street.

The driver hit several bushes and at least one tree before coming to a stop and taking off on foot.

Police were able to catch up with the suspect a few blocks away where he was taken into custody.

Police say speed and alcohol were factors in the crash.

No word on how much damage was done to the property.
