A milestone was reached Thursday by students of the Papillion-La Vista School District. It was their 100th day of school so they threw a party.
The 100th day is more of a celebration for the elementary school students. Amy Stock's class of kindergartners at Rumsey Station Elementary celebrated the day by making crowns, Fruit Loop necklaces and playing games.
The celebration also has a serious side as students are reinforcing what they've already learned. "For kindergarten, 100 is just a big number that we strive to, it's a big number for us to count to, so it is just kind of a culmination of everything that we've learned so far this year," said Stock, who added she is always amazed at the progress her students make during their first 100 days in class.
