10-year-old Dynasty Reese had an asthma attack in the middle of the night. Despite efforts to revive her, she didn't survive.
Amanda Cosey, Dynasty's mother says, "No one know how precious life is until you lose a 10-year-old little girl."
A mother shares her pain after unexpectedly losing her little girl.
"She was so young, you know and it hurts," said Amanda.
Last Tuesday night, the Cosey family was changed forever.
Dynasty had been suffering from mild asthma. She had an attack while she was sleeping.
Amanda says, "She knew she was having it. She woke up and tried to get to someone as soon as possible."
Dynasty ran to her grandfather's bed. Eugene sprang into action.
Eugene says, "I got the phone and called 911."
By the time crews got to her, Dynasty had gone into cardiac arrest. Despite efforts to save the little girl, she didn't survive.
Eugene, Dynasty's grandfather says, "It was just one of them things, you know. God knows best and I don't question that."
Amanda says she had taken Dynasty to a doctor several times for asthma. They had another appointment the day after the attack.
Amanda says, "Her body didn't know how to handle this attack."
Dynasty was a fifth grader at Conestoga Elementary. She was an A student, and a volleyball player.
Amanda says, "Just love them, because when they are gone it just hurts.'
Dynasty's funeral is being held Friday, May 18th at 11 a.m. It's at Salem Baptist Church, 3131 Lake Street.
The family says they appreciate all of the support and donations as they get through this difficult time.
