Parrish School and UNO's Service Learning Department are getting into the Halloween spirit with a special haunted house entitled "Kafelnikov's Zombie Revenge."
Students invited the public to visit a "Zombie House" on Friday Nov. 1st and Saturday Nov. 2 from 6-8:30 P.M. at Parrish School, 4459 Farnam St. Omaha, to raise money and awareness for the Malcolm X Foundation.
Parrish students helped write the theme for—and play the characters in—the haunted house.
What’s more, they’re getting a little casting assistance, too: among those playing the roles of zombies are three special guests—MMA fighter Houston Alexander, Central High School Hall of Fame drama teacher Peggy Georgeson, and former Creighton basketball player Manny Gakou.
Admission will be a suggested donation to the Malcolm X Foundation.
Concurrent to the event will be a presentation on Malcolm X by the students with Sharif Liwaru, the foundation president. This will also take place at Parrish.
