A 50-year-old Louisville man pled guilty to a Class I Misdemeanor of attempted failure to follow sex offender registration requirements.
The Cassgram reports Kirk C. Kubik had notified authorities of his address change in January but failed to make his quarterly report to the sheriff’s office in March, said Deputy County Attorney Richard Fedde.
In 1997 Kubik was convicted of sexual assault of a child, a Class IV Felony, in Sarpy County and is on the sex offender registry for life.
The guilty plea this week came in return for the reduction of the charge from a felony to a misdemeanor. There is no agreement on sentencing.
