When our children are young, it seems like we’re taking them to the doctor every week or two to make sure they’re developing properly.
But as they get bigger, doctors are seeing a negative trend. They only see some children when they’re sick.
In this month’s Health Check report, WOWT's Serese Cole sits down with a Fremont Area Medical Center doctor who says 40% of his pediatric patients aren’t making it in for a routine check-up. Dr. Terry Wooldridge explains why every child should have an annual physical.
Serese also sits down with Helga Garay. The Fremont mom says her daughter’s two-year-old check-up may have saved her life. Find out how and discover why parents can’t afford to put off their child’s next visit to the doctor.
It’s a story every parent should see – Tuesday, May 6th at 5:00 p.m. on WOWT 6 News.
