Seven million people nationwide suffer from wounds that won't heal. It's a serious problem that can lead to amputations or affect quality of life.
Tonight at five, Serese Cole takes us inside the Fremont Area Medical Center's - Center For Wound Healing where doctors specialize in treating stubborn wounds.
She also introduces us to 75-year-old Lois Verbeck. Lois was injured after a fall. Her doctor sent her to the Center for Wound Healing after a scrape on her leg became infected and wouldn't heal.
Find out what the center did for Lois and has done for hundreds of others in tonight's Health Check report.
