Be sure to come hungry to the 2nd Annual Ribstock BBQ, June 27-28 in the Millard Super Saver parking lot (near 144th & Q Street) from 3 to 10 p.m.; brought to you by the Millard Business Association and WOWT NBC Omaha.
The festival features a professional and amateur BBQ competition; judges include former Huskers Johnny Rodgers, Joel Makovicka, Gordan Thiesen, and Calvin Jones. Joining them will be WOWT 6 News meteorologist Rusty Lord and former Sports Director Dave Webber.
Families can plan to experience finger lickin' good food, as well as, live music and a Kidzone play area. Fireworks are planned for Friday at dusk.
Tickets are $10, in advance, for adults and children over age 13. Tickets will also be available at the gate for $12. Children 12 and under are free. Food and drink are not included in the price of admission.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Millard Business Community Foundation and Project Wee Care, which was formed to provide food, clothing, and Christmas gifts for families in the area.
