Kicks for a Cure benefits Liz's Legacy, a charitable program that supports cancer research, education, and patient care at the University of Nebraska Medical Center's Eppley Cancer Center and Creighton University's Hereditary Cancer Center. Since the inception of Kicks for a Cure, more than $1 million has been raised.
Liz's Legacy was created to honor Liz Karnes, who died in April 2003, after a 12-year fight against cancer. Her family said Liz knew first-hand how important it is to be an advocate for yourself and your health concerns.
